Fitted sheets 180 × 220 cm – choose the right fabric and mattress fit
Compare fitted sheets 180 × 220 cm by fabric, pocket depth and mattress or topper suitability. Use the exact centimetre measurements to choose your fit.
Fitted sheets 180 × 220 cm for your bed
A 180 × 220 cm fitted sheet is intended for an extra-long double mattress. Its additional length compared with 180 × 200 cm matters for fit and should not be confused with mattress depth. Also check whether the product is designed for a standard mattress, a topper or a split topper. The same outer dimensions can be used in different bed configurations.
Choose the correct pocket depth
Width and length are only part of the fit. Pocket depth or maximum mattress depth describes the profile a sheet is designed to cover. A topper is usually shallower than a full mattress and may need a different type of sheet. Measure the mattress depth without including the bed frame. If you want to cover more than one layer together, compare the combined depth with the stated fitting range.
| Fit check | What to compare |
|---|---|
| Width and length | 180 × 220 cm |
| Pocket depth | Measure mattress depth and read the product label |
| Sheet type | Mattress, topper or split topper as specified |
Compare fibre composition and structure
Read the full fabric composition and finish in the individual product details. Cotton describes a fibre, jersey a knitted structure, and satin can describe a weave. The exact composition also matters for bamboo-labelled textiles. Look beyond colour and product names: compare stretch and care requirements too. Choose a fabric whose washing and drying instructions work with your usual laundry routine.
Making and caring for your bed
Fit the corners evenly around the mattress and check that the sheet sits securely along each side. Avoid forcing the fabric if the dimensions or depth seem unsuitable. Follow the care label of the specific product for washing and drying. Wash similar colours together and allow the sheet to dry fully before storing it. Having a spare sheet can make it easier to change the bed while another is in the laundry.
